The Light House Control System
Quite simply the easiest lighting system ever!
- Fastest way to install lighting controls
- Removes the need for complex lighting wiring
- Easiest lighting system available
Why Are You Still Three-Plating your Lights?
I get it, We’ve been doing it for 100 years. But that’s no excuse.
Why run all the cabling, make all the connections, and fit 19th century tech?
If you’re wiring up lighting this way, you probably feel like your earning a 19th century salary too. That’s because what you are doing is ‘perceived’ as LOW VALUE.
Cheap Switches, Cheap Cable, Cheap Labour
No one wants the customer that sounds like a canary, so stop feeding them ‘low value’ solutions. It’s time to offer a HIGH VALUE solution
Smart Controls offer a HIGH VALUE solution by eliminating three-plate wiring. This reduces the amount of cabling needed, simplifies the installation process, and makes maintenance much easier
The Lighthouse Control System is the single best platform purposefully designed to deliver smart controls into a buildings wiring system.
Faster, more professional, and simpler than any wiring system you’ve ever used
HOW DOES THE LIGHTHOUSE WORK?
Electronic Relays
In order to operate a lightbulb, a heating system, or a window covering in a building with remotes, smart devices, or other wireless tech, an electronic circuit fitted with a relay and communication device is needed. These relays can also have dimming circuits on them for finer lighting control.
Controlling the Relays
The relays in the Lighthouse can be connected to physical switches, or to your WiFi network to allow you to control them remotely. This has the effect of allowing you to operate your lights the way you always have: Switch on, switch off, dim the lights, but also allows you to set scenes and use voice control with a smart phone or speaker.
Physical Switches
There are a range of switches that can be used with the relays in the Lighthouse. These switches harvest energy from the press of the switch, which is then converted to electricity and used to transmit the command to the receiver: Click – On, Click – Off, Click and hold – The lights dim up and down (you’ll need dimmable receivers fitted).
The Four Key Sections
The range of Light House Units are all fitted with the Four Unique Sections:
1. An isolator switch for safety and a socket outlet for convenient circuit testing
2. An internal safety barrier allowing operation of the receivers by unskilled persons
3. A bypass facility that allows the lighting to be operated without the need to interact with the controls
4. A connection unit that allows for rapid connection of all the receivers to the building wiring in as little as one hour

Quick Fit Connection

Removing the laborious task of connecting the various wires to the receivers was a crucial design feature that we have solved with our quick Fit Connection. Unit installation now takes around an hour. No screwdriver required.
Internal Safety Barrier

Efficient Design

Our units have been designed to reduce the wasted space that is commonly seen with typical generic housing units. The slimline shape and shallow profile make this unit easily fitted in narrow areas or behind doors.

The innovation behind the Light House Control System was conceived and developed over the last 12 months working with clients that wanted the benefits that wire-free light switching can bring.

How many sparks does it take to screw in a light bulb?
Every electrician knows the answer: "That's a GU10!"
The reality is that it takes no electricians to screw in a lightbulb because it’s so darn easy anyone can do it.
The same, though, is not true for the switches that control them…
Picture this:
Supplying a two-gang switch to control downlights and under-cabinet lights in the kitchen.
The customer wants to switch them from the kitchen door and the patio doors. They want posh brushed metal switches, and they must be dimmable!
Oh, and did I mention the switches need to have a screwless faceplate?
Want To Talk To Us?
Just think about that for a second:
- Cable runs?
- Channelling down the wall?
- A deep back box? Obviously.
- Sleeving?
- Wago connectors?
- Tiny terminals on the dimmer modules that only really take one conductor?
But it’s okay, you’re a professional, and you know how to wire it. There’s no gold star or 5 points to Hufflepuff for getting it right; the customer is expecting it to work.
Just be grateful it’s not a listed building like a church or fitted with Parquet or tiled flooring.
Is that Artex from the ’70s?
Many sparks are already sold on wireless technology. After all, the customer just wants to dim the lights with a metal switch. What does it matter where the dimming unit is or how much effort you have put into making that a reality for them?
The Lighthouse Control System gives you a fantastic platform to do just that. It’s simple, it’s professional, and it’s available now.
Let’s give the customer what they want and not spend days doing it.

Extensions
A hybrid of fixed wiring and wireless switching is easily achieved with grid switches to blend old with the new. Because there are no switch lines, extending light switching is simple, easy, and often more affordable.
